Bids will be received through the Bids and Tenders - Online Bidding System up to 2:00 pm local time on December 22, 2020. Bids submitted after the Online Bidding System closing time will not be accepted by the Online Bidding System. The time as indicated by the declining time clock on the Online Bidding System shall be the official time for closing. 

The work involves the renovation of Pembina Place including: 
•    Demolition of existing ductwork in the Curling Rink and Ice Rink.
•    Supply and installation of ventilation system, including make-up air units, ductwork, and controls in Curling Rink and Ice Rink.
•    Supply and installation of dehumidifier units, associated ductwork and controls for Curling Rink and Ice Rink.
•    Supply and installation of natural gas piping system for mechanical equipment.
•    Supply and installation of CO/NOx detection sensors and controls for Zamboni Room.  
•    Supply and installation of new breakers, power feed, and electrical disconnects as required.
•    Supply and installation of structural steel to support mechanical equipment.
•    Removal and replacement of existing low emissivity ceiling in Ice Rink.
•    Re-painting of existing open-web-steel-joists in Ice Rink.
•    Provide screen fence for air handling unit with screw pile foundation  

Contract Documents will be available via BuildWorks Canada (www.buildworkscanada.com) and Bids and Tenders (https://ae.bidsandtenders.ca) on, or after November 23, 2020 at no charge to members. Bidders are required to check for any updated information and addenda issued before the closing date and time at BuildWorks Canada, (www.buildworkscanada.com) and Bids & and Tenders (https://ae.bidsandtenders.ca).

Any changes to the Bid Documentation will be issued by means of written addenda, and posted to the BuildWorks and Bids and Tenders websites and will form part of the Bid. No amendment of any kind to the tenderer is effective unless it is posted in a formal written addendum. Upon submitting to this Bid, Bidders will be deemed to have received notice of all addenda that have been posted and deemed to have considered the information for inclusion in the tender submitted.

AE reserves the right to not to respond to technical questions submitted via email or any other questions after the inquiry date noted hereof. Relevant questions will be responded via addendum. 

A Mandatory Bidders’ Briefing is scheduled for December 01, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Pembina Place, located at 4944 - 53 Street, Redwater, AB.

All bidders attending the briefing will be required to confirm their attendance including the attendee’s name, phone number, and company to wangl@ae.ca. Confirmation of the bidder’s attendance will be required by 4:00 pm, November 27, 2020. Due to the current COVID-19 situation, no personnel without a confirmation of attendance will be allowed to enter the premises.

All attendees will be required to wear appropriate PPE (safety boots, hard hat, vest), and must follow the latest directions from Alberta Health Services. Masks will be required at all times, while on site.

The lowest or any bid will not necessarily be accepted.
